The Broad Street gallery district's art6 Gallery is bringing acclaimed Manhattan artist Judy Rifka to Richmond. The exhibit, "JUDY RIFKA POSTED," is a whole-gallery, site-specific installation of her new works, including those based on her Rorschachlike paper "monsters."

"What's really interesting is that this show originated on Facebook," said Mitzi Humphrey, the gallery's co-founder and co-director. "Judy uses social media in a delightful, avant-garde way. I commented one day on Facebook that I would give Judy Rifka a show at art6 in the blink of an eye. To my surprise, she said yes!"

The show opens tonight with a public preview reception from 7 to 9 ($25 at the door). "JUDY RIFKA POSTED" also may be seen at no charge during a First Fridays reception tomorrow from 6 to 10 p.m.
The exhibit runs through Aug. 27 at 6 E. Broad St. Hours are Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. and by appointment.
